It's time to go to Rug Hooking Camp!!!

Its time to head to Ripley, West Virginia to Rug Hooking Camp at Cedar Lakes.
Every Mothers Day we leave for a week of hooking rugs with wool.
It is like going to camp and working on your craft project all week!! No bugle to wake you like at 4-H camp. Good food, and people from all over the US and Canada.
Here is my creation from last year. Yes, I go to camp and only seem to find time to hook during this one week. There is more done than in this photo. It is called women friends. The center is my mom and I - as you see the colors are the same, but just change in color values. The other ones around the center are the women friends in my life. I have a variety of friends and a variety of personalities.

This year I am actually going to start a rug. It is being designed after a stain glass window I have at home. Will post photos after camp to let you see how much I got done! This is my teacher Anne B from Canada with the pattern I sent her after I traced a stained glass window I have.

I sent her sections of the stained glass so she could match the wool she is dyeing for me to hook with. This is going to be quite a project for me!!
